I applied online. I interviewed at Bellroy in Feb 2025
Interview
First interview was a video call with the recruitment manager and operations manager, we discussed the role, my experience and the company. I didn't get to the next stages (thankfully), but I was told there would be a 2-3 hour psychological test, then an unpaid 4-hour trial shift and then another interview. A lot of red flags and seemed too difficult/time consuming all for a simple role, I wouldn't have gone ahead if I was successful.

Interview
Got an email to meet for an initial virtual interview with a member of the HR team. During the meeting, I found it hard to connect with the interviewer - they were very professional albeit serious, so it was hard to feel completely comfortable during the call. I didn't feel like they asked much about my actual skill set or reasons for wanting to join Bellroy, more about why I would be leaving my current position. I was then sent an email a few days later to inform me that I would not go through to the next stage because other candidates were a 'closer fit'. I wish I had more of an opportunity to really present myself during the interview, although with the extensive recruitment process for a role that ended up being below my salary expectations, it was overall for the best.
