First you have a sit down interview with a regional manager - if you pass this you are asked to come back in around an hour for a trial. There were 8 girls at my trial shift and we were all asked to stop customers and bring them to the counter for makeovers, which wasn't so easy considering it was a Tuesday afternoon in a medium sized Boots store and you were essentially competing against 7 other girls for customers. In all it was a long process - my trial shift overran and the whole process took around 5 hours. If you are offered a job you are then allocated to a store, where you have to go for a second interview and complete the same process, but on a much smaller scale and without the competition with other girls for customers.
