Interview
A group of us were firstly interviewed by the area manager individually and they then chose a number of people that would come back for the second part of the interview which was to traffic stop potential customers and do a basic makeover on them with the makeup given. We learned the uses, tag lines and a few ingredients of their most popular produces and then applied them to a customer. We were judged on our ability to stop a customer and persuade them to sit down and have their makeup done. We were also assessed on our social skills and ability to interact with the customer and show our knowledge of the given products. We were required to sit down at least 5 people. At the end of this, we were called in indiviually and asked how we think the situation went and then offered a job at the end of it. I'm not sure if this happens in all stores or department stores but I was then called in for a store approval of the department store I was going to based.

Si inizia con un’ audition ( ti dicono che ci sara’ un gettone di presenza, mai percepito!) durante la quale devi dimostrare le tue abilità nella vendita. Mi hanno spiegato poco e niente, pretendendo gia’ da subito alte performance. Segue poi un’intervista telefonica, improntata piu’ che altro a capire le tue aspettative, in quanto non si capiscono le condizioni contrattuali, o meglio per quanto tempo durera’ il tempo determinato e semmai ci sara’ la probabilità di un indeterminato; poiche’ sono quasi sempre sostituzioni maternita’.

Casual and friendly interview process. Video introduction was a new format of interviewing. 3 step interview process. Interviewer was lovely and made the process so much more relaxing. Zoom interview doing half a face of makeup was a new experience however very enjoyable

Interview
First there was an online interview you do alone and answer automated questions about how you would approach different problems. Then there is a zoom interview where you do your makeup and answer questions about the company and why you want to work there. After that they send you to a store so you can see if you work well in the environment and with the staff.
