Initially most account consultants come on as temps. I was hired through Johnson Service Group so I actually interviewed through them via Craigslist first then had a short in person interview with a few managers. It was I believe three managers it was friendly and laid back.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Charleston, SC) in Apr 2011
Interview
had to go through a staffing firm even though I was an internal reference. didn't really like the experience with the saffing firm - even though i was working for BF it was clear in certain areas that i was a temp employee. this was much better once i was a FT associate
I applied online. I interviewed at Benefitfocus (Charleston, SC) in Jul 2013
Interview
Having had done my research I knew to expect a very laid back interview. The people with whom I met were very professional but also down to earth. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. It was pretty much them explaining the position and the culture to me. They explained that although they like to have fun the work is long and hard. The questions were very typical. We reviewed my résumé and I answered their questions regarding my previous employment.
