Once I submitted my application, I received an email within a few days setting up my phone interview. Most questions were basic and standard for a behavioral type interview. I was told that if I advanced to the in-person interview and was being actively considered, I would receive some type of follow-up communication; phone/email. A few days following the phone interview, I had my in-person interview with the Store Manager. I arrived approximately 10 minutes early and checked in with the Customer Service Desk. I was told the Manager was in with another interviewee and would be out shortly. About an hour after arrival and 50 minutes after my SCHEDULED interview, the Assistant Manager came over and apologized for the Manager being "long-winded" and that he should be done soon. An hour and 15 minutes after my scheduled interview, I was finally sitting down with the manager. He was cordial and stated his apologies for making me wait and it had been a busy day. The interview questions were about what I had imagined and did not trip me up. However, at about 30 minutes into the interview, he had finished asking his "pre-generated" questions and thanked me for coming. The interview seemed to end abruptly and he did not give me a chance to ask questions. He stated that he was leaving on vacation the following day and that HR would make notifications on Monday on who was selected. I felt confident I would not even be considered for the job when I left. However, I dod not think I would have accepted if offered due to how the manager treated me. If I was treated like this as a possible customer and potential employee, I cannot help but wonder how he treats his employees.
