I ultimately went through four rounds of technical interviews, but that was due to the fact that the original role I was applying for was filled by someone else internally, but they thought I would be good for another role that opened up on a different team. For the first position, it was two rounds of technical questions with engineers on the team. This was a full stack role, so they asked questions about React and Java (language paradigms). They also asked me some simple algorithm questions to code. The second interview was also two rounds, but with a team lead and architect in the first round and a hiring manager in the second round. Their questions were again related to React and Java language paradigms as well as some API and system design related questions. I was given an offer, but decided to decline because I preferred to be in a permanent role immediately rather than contract to hire.
