I had opportunity to meet peers and direct reports and ask questions about the role beyond the job description to help understand the business rhythms in greater detail than provided in the job description. I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Best Buy (Richfield, MN) in Apr 2017
Interview
A recruiter contacted me and was very persistent to have a phone screening ASAP. She asked a lot of questions about my salary expectations, types of projects I delivered, team sizes etc. When I asked specific questions about a BB team structure, goals and challenges, she could not disclose this information and told that a hiring manager would answer all of these questions. At the end of our conversation she promised to update me on the next steps in '2-3 days, maximum in a week'. Several months passed since then, I've never heard anything from her, not even an auto-reply 'our candidate pool is ssooooo competitive...'
