I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BetterUp (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
I met with several people across the organization from the recruiting team to the sales organization and members of the executive team. The enthusiasm of each person I interviewed with was really remarkable. They weren't just enthusiastic because they're working at a hot start up, you could tell that the loved the work itself, the mission of the company and how BetterUp's values drove the workplace culture of personal growth and transformation. I had great conversations with each person and was very impressed with the caliber of the people at BetterUP. I also used each interview to ask lots of my own questions about their business, the progress their making, where the challenges are, etc. That discovery helped me in my decision process.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at BetterUp in Feb 2022
Interview
5 step interview process
1. Recruiter call (30 min)
2. Hiring Manager Interview (30-60 min)
3. Additional Sales Leadership Interview (30-60 min)
4. Virtual Onsite (3 hours)
5. Executive Interview - VP Sales (30-60 min)
Overall it was a pretty standard interview process. They had a couple of case studies/presentations they wanted you to walk through and build, so took some time to prepare.
Everyone I spoke to was very nice/professional.
I wasn't offered the role. The only criticism would be to give more feedback on why. I was told I made it very far in the process and most don't, but they went with someone else. With the amount of time spent preparing/interviewing it would have been good to get some concrete feedback on why I wasn't selected to learn from for future interviews.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BetterUp (Washington, DC) in Nov 2021
Interview
The interview process at BetterUp was a multi-step process that lasted about three weeks. I met with the manager that the role would be reporting to, then the VP level, followed by a panel interview (half day experience meeting both peers and those in management), and finally meeting with someone on the executive team. Although the interview process had many steps, it was an enjoyable experience and I felt like every step was necessary for both them to get to know me and for me to ask all of the questions that I had and get to know the company better. Everyone seemed truly interested in both me and in my experience with the interview process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BetterUp (Washington, DC) in Aug 2021
Interview
I had an interview with the hiring manager, leadership, crossfunctional interviewers, a case study and a role play panel interview. It's an extensive, thorough process but the recruiter communicated throughout and we were able to schedule pretty quickly. I like that each interviewer came from a different part of the organization so they weren't all asking the same questions and they can get a more well-rounded perspective.
