Bad communication, radio silence for weeks. Then they decided the position wasn't available anymore. Overall it was a terrible process. I think the company was going through a lot of things then with the CEO, hopefully they are better now.

Question 1
Q: Describe a time when you were challenged mentally and how you overcame the odds.
I applied online. I interviewed at Beyond, Inc. in Aug 2020
Interview
I applied online. I received an email (riddled with spelling errors) from Terri Morris with an assessment that I had 48 hours to complete. It involved writing SQL code to join tables; separating one Excel cell into two different cells and using other basic functions to make calculations; calculating cost/profit per conversion and ROAS and other marketing metrics; writing python scripts to read, clean, transform, and visualize data.
A week later I received an email to do one of those impersonal recorded interviews where you have a certain amount of time to prep (like a minute) and a certain amount of time to answer (like 5 minutes or something). I find these types of interviews extremely disrespectful to the interviewee. Interviews are a two way conversation and if a recruiter can't weed out promising candidates for face-to-face interviews, then they need a better recruiter. I didn't take the interview seriously and never had any intention of working for them after I learned of the interviewing structure.
