This was my second time interviewing with the company. Although I didn’t get the role the first time, I stayed in touch because I was genuinely impressed by what I had learned about them. Several months later, I was invited for another interview. While I felt the second interview went much better, unfortunately, the result was the same. I’m not accustomed to being turned down after interviews, so it was a humbling experience. The feedback I received was fairly general, stating that they were moving forward with candidates whose experience was more closely aligned with their current needs. I respect their decision, but I found the second conversation very relaxed, and the interviewers didn’t ask many questions that would allow me to showcase my technical expertise for the role. While I’m unsure if I would actively pursue another opportunity with them, I would still be open to hearing from them again for a potential third round.
