Interview
Submitted my application and got my first call within a few days. Interviewed with the district manager and then heard from the recruiter the next day for another phone interview. The second interview was more to get a feel for what I had seen walking a store and what I would work on if I was managing the store. From there it was the recruiter telling me about Big Lots and the upcoming expectations for the background check process. He also asked what I was looking for as far as a salary goes as I had not listed a specific amount on my app.

I do not feel there were any difficult questions as I said above it was just judgment calls and what I saw in the store for opportunities. I was over prepared because I had spent several hours getting as much history on the company ensuring I was making a good business decision for me. This included financials for the past several years and what direction the company was going as well as where they came from.
Easy, round table format. Talked with other store managers and the DM. Asked basic retail questions and talked about my background in retail. Was not difficult at all. Did go into detail about a day in the life
They will call. Either set up an interview face to face or set up a phone interview. Stander associate will have one to two. Manager position will have 3-4 with multiple supervisors.
