      I interviewed at Big Lots

      Interview

It was a phone interview with a recruiter—enjoyable and friendly interaction. The phone call didn't feel stressful at all. We talked for a little over an hour even covering the benefits package and pay.

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Big Lots (Aurora, IL) in Jan 2014

      Interview

This is an easy, standard, corporate retail interview read off a list of questions that are prepared from corporate headquarters. (ie: how do you feel you can help Big Lots, what experience will help you succeed here, etc.) you use your common sense you will be hired. One of the easiest interviews I've ever had.

      Interview

There were little questions. I had previous experience so they offered me the job based upon that. Normally, you would be asked how you felt about dealing with customers, working holidays, etc. Describe a time when you had a customer issue and how you solved it.
