Applied online, and got invited to the next stage which is an OA. The recruiter was very respectful and answered general questions I had regarding the assessment. Turns out the assessment is on Indeed, and it starts off with easy data visualization MCQs, but then transitions into silly and niche python and stats questions that were sometimes purposely vaguely worded. For instance, one question was somewhat nonsensical where you had to choose the option a piece of python code evaluates to after parsing a json file...all we're given is the web address where the file is hosted. Am I supposed to open the link in the middle of an assessment? If yes, what skill are they testing here; the ability to open a link? Honestly, if a company chooses to filter candidates in this way using an Indeed assessment, I'm not sure I can take them seriously. Did not make it to the next round.
