BillionToOne Software Engineering Manager interview questions

- First interview with the Director/VP of Engineering was okay. He seemed like a nice manager. - The system design interview was not very difficult. However, they were really unprepared. They shared no documents for system design, so we had to spend 15 minutes to decide where I could write the requirements and share the system diagram. - In the end, the actual interview time was 20 minutes. It seemed like the interviewer had no experience, because he wanted me to focus on a database design which was far more complicated than he anticipated it and could not have been correctly and completely solved in 20 minutes. However, he provided a lot of positive comments during the interview. - I had the impression that I did really well after I left the interview. However, I received the next day a standard rejection email. I find it very rude from their side to act like this. When someone puts time to interview with you (more than 2h and additional preparation time), you should not send a standard rejection email. You could at least provide some feedback. Tbh, it was a sour experience. I do not recommend applying to this company.
