Was contacted by a recruiter via automated email to schedule a quick call. After I responded, I got a direct email reply. Recruiter asked a few basic qualifying questions, and said they'd follow up with a time to speak with the hiring manager. I then spoke with the hiring manager, and it was overall a good conversation, but I could see the places where my experiences wouldn't be a perfect fit, and was told they'd get back to me. Then received an email from the recruiter saying they'd pass on my application. Honestly, while I didn't get the job, everyone was professional and courteous, followed up on their commitments, and kept me informed. Didn't even ghost when they decided to move on.
