Birst interview questions

Approached by recruiter, initial telephone interview with Head of Lead Generation, with a two hour face-to-face interview. Despite meeting with some very intelligent and successful individuals throughout the four separate interviews within two hours.. I was so drained of any motivation or positivity towards the company or position that I became extremely despondent. This is a very fast growing company with an extremely effective BI solution.. it was apparent that everyone was very new and more focused on themselves than perhaps the person they were interviewing. I certainly felt as if I was 'in the room' in the initial interview with the CMO and freely shared experiences and current processes etc.. however, the following three interviews seemed to be geared towards the interviewer, rather than requiring any engagement from myself which induced the feeling of being a spectacle (caged animal at a zoo sprang to mind) and from there an element of despondency on my part. I was misled on the salary of the position in the initial phone call and once the actual remuneration was established during interview 3, my despondency grew into frustration and borderline anger. Further to mentioning career progression or internal promotions, I did get a verbal reaction of "I'm the manager" and a distinct threatening glance. This interview process had nothing to do with skill-set or experience or an interest in myself as a person.. it was simply a test of endurance. Although the position wasn't a good fit for me personally, I'm sure that there are plenty of young inside reps that this would suit as an entry level position into sales. However, my advice to the company would be to show some respect and consideration to the potential candidate.. perhaps offering a short break between interviews.. providing refreshments.. while ensuring that the interviews are relevant to the candidate.
