Bitsight Operations Analyst interview questions

I had a first interview with them where they went through what their company was about, some regular HR questions and then they pretty much asked if I can work for less (the salary range was mentioned in the job application). That's fine, I politely declined, but I found it strange that I still got offered a "catch-up" twice, on the same "salary expectations adjustment" topic.
