I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial screening and then was set up a phone interview with the company. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview with the CEO. I couldn't make it in the middle of the week and was scheduled to go in on the Monday after. The Friday before, the recruiter had reached out to me to inform me they had to cancel the meeting because they made offers to people who interviewed earlier who accepted. I wasn't aware this was a first-come-first-serve hiring....
