      Vice President Interview

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock

      Interview

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Klassische Fragen zum Lebenslauf, Fachfragen / Gespräch, geleitete Projekte, Konfliktlösungsfähigkeiten. Hauptsächlich freier Austausch zu Fachthemen und Erfahrungen.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BlackRock

      Interview

The interview process itself was excellent. I went through four rounds of interviews, including a final round that was changed at the last minute from Zoom to an in-person meeting with senior leadership. Every person I met with was professional, engaged, and generous with their time, and the conversations left me with a very positive impression of the team and the work being done. Unfortunately, the candidate experience outside of the interviews was the complete opposite. I had virtually no interaction with my recruiter throughout the process and, despite being told I would hear back with an update, multiple follow-ups over several weeks went unanswered. I ultimately learned the role had been filled through LinkedIn rather than from BlackRock. Not being selected is part of the hiring process, and I fully respect that. However, after four rounds of interviews and a significant investment of time from both sides, failing to provide even a simple follow-up email fell well below the level of professionalism I expected from a company with BlackRock's reputation.

      Question 1

Most of the interview questions were fairly standard leadership and experience-based questions. Honestly nothing to write home about.
