I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BlackRock (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2018
Interview
I applied to two internship positions as well as the Blackrock Founders Scholarship, Client portfolio solutions in NY and Sales in Chicago, through the Blackrock talent system and did a video cover letter, where I was asked to prerecord answers to two questions. 1-2 weeks later I received an invitation for a video interview (through zoom) for the ETF and Index Investing department in NY. 1-2 weeks later I was reject for that department but was invited to interview first round in San Francisco for Institutional Client Business in Chicago as well as a Blackrock Founders Scholarship event. Final round would be the day after. However, I did not make it past the first round. Everybody throughout every stage was very nice and helpful. Interview questions were mostly behavioral and technical questions were easy. However, I never got any responses from the actual positions I applied to and I was moved around a lot, to a point where I didn't even know what the position I was interviewing for entailed or if I wanted to do it. In addition, they take a long time to reimburse you for your trip.
