Interview
Applied online with CV. Did the "online cover letter" within 3 days. Applied for two roles and did the video for my second choice first so I could see the questions and prepare better for the second one.
That was in October, was then invited for phone interviews in the beginning of January. Had two 30-min interviews back to back with two members of the team I'd be in. All behavioural questions, mostly about their values. The same day, got invited for the assessment centre in London about two weeks later.
The assessment centre consisted of a group exercise and two interviews. The interviewers were all members of the team. In the group exercise, they gave us a document with a situation in the company, and we had about 30 minutes to discuss it and then present it to them. Very nice candidates and a relaxed atmosphere.
The interviews were super chill and the people were really nice. No hard technical questions, just seemed like they wanted to get to know you and how you work.
A couple of days later was asked for a follow-up call with another interview and got the offer the next day after that.
If you really want it my tip is to really show that you understand their values, and that you have proven to have those values through your experiences. Show that you're passionate about joining and why. To prepare, look up behavioural questions and reflect on times you have shown different qualities.

The Hirevue questions were all behavioral, no tell me about yourself or why blackrock. Questions were pretty simple. Prepare a financial news story you are following because they will ask you that.
Hireview is preparation and then one time recording, which is from memory 3 minutes long. There was only 3 questions for me and most of it related to the role instead of purely just asking why blackrock or why this role.
