The process took about 4 months. First was the HR phone screening in early August. Second was a phone interview with the hiring manager at the end of August. In mid-September, I was invited to complete on-site interviews that happened in early October. The on-site interviews took about 2 hours. They aren't quick to respond to emails, there was typically a week or more of time when hearing back on scheduling or next steps, except for when speaking to the Sourcer. The Recruiter, Hema, became unresponsive following scheduling the on-site interviews. I sent a confirmation receipt email as she requested along with a question regarding what was in her email, she never responded to it. After the on-site interviews, I sent an email in regards to finding out next steps which she never responded to either. I wrote off the role and continued. After a month, I received an unexpected email thanking me for coming in and stating that they were still considering me. It also stated that they were still interviewing and that they would be wrapping up in the following week, and she would follow up with next steps. To date, that email was almost a month ago and the role is still posted and no further follow up. It’s disappointing that the recruiter and team ghosts you during the process. I loved the BlackRock culture and the people I met on-site, but this process has made me question if the culture is consistent across the organization.
