I was told to take an assessment test to move forward. Before I took the assessment I asked what the test measures and if they would interpret the results if I'm a good fit or not. The Recruiter told me it is NOT a barrier to entry and to just understand our personalities.
I completed the assessment, notified the recruiter, and got an email back saying they decided to move forward with other candidates. No explanation regardless of what I was told earlier.
As an organization, transparency is key, and it would've been appreciated to have been transparent from the beginning.
Tread carefully interviewers and happy hunting!

Interview
30min call with recruiter - sent email wanting to move forward along with role play instructions, live prospecting exercise, 2 30min interviews and the theme of these interviews. All were scheduled in the same day. Role play pretty standard, didn't see the value of the live prospecting exercise as I was just going through a deck of 8 prospects I created which took a LOT of time to create. The 2 30min interviewers pulled from a list of questions, they would have been better off creating their own questions relevant to the role, both of them came off mundane. Standard questions tell me about... how do you structure your day... KPIs. I got an email 2 days later saying they wanted to do another followup interview with ANOTHER hiring manager so 5 different interview sessions.
The prep for these interviews took so much time, I was disappointed to not get any feedback on why I wasn't selected after I asked the recruiter. I understand recruiters have a lot on their plate but its disrespectful to candidates that spends hours prepping (not being compensated for their time) to learn about a company, prep for role play, prep for different panel interviews and not given any feedback. Just a general... Thank you from Block. My friend interviewed with Toast and the recruiter offered time to schedule 15min feedback meeting. Based off the other reviews it seems like I was better off not getting selected.

Average difficulty. Interviewed with several managers and execs in leadership. Back to back calls and full day remote process. Enjoyed the time that each person put in and felt equipped and energized after the meetings
