I had an initial interview with the VP of Sales and then interviews with department leaders and finally a presentation with the company founders. Everyone was very professional. I was told at the beginning that they were interviewing two external candidates and one internal candidate. I was also told that they had a strong history of promoting from within. In the end, they hired the internal candidate. I can't comment on whether they made the right choice or not. I think they were transparent in telling me upfront that their preference was for internal candidates. My advice is that unless you start work with Bloomerang in an entry-level position, you shouldn't waste too much time applying for more senior-level positions. They have an excellent product. I do think they would benefit from looking outside their organization for new perspectives.
