Blue Bottle Coffee Trainor Position interview questions

I had applied originally for a position in Customer Service, but was approached via email by the recruiter to apply based on my resume to a position as a company trainer. I was honors that they saw the value in my past training employees at Whole Foods and Apple. All of the questions I was asked had nothing to do with my past coffee experience or my past being a trainer for Whole Foods. They seemed to only care about my job at Apple which I was support to the store trainer and helps lead regional core. The recruiter even emailed me a follow up question a couple days after my phone interview basically asking why I wasn't a trainer at Apple. I wasn't a trainer for Apple bc I was a part time employee while going to school full time and it wasn't an opportunity for someone who was Part time. This follow up question I found out comes from the fact they have a former Apple employee working for them. I was later offered to apply for an open barista job. I found this to be insulting. I have over 8 years in coffee business from small successful cafe to Manager of a Starbucks. You asked me to apply for a training position and now You think I'm best suited for a basic starting job? If You had asked better questions You'd know of my coffee past and my success with training new hires for 2 years in the number 1 market for Whole Foods.... No Thanks!
