A former colleague (VP) reached out to ask me to interview. He told me he had checked with the CEO (whom we both worked for previously) if they should interview. I then interviewed with the Chief Growth Officer. That went well enough that he had me interview with a VP, 2 Sr. Directors and an external consultant. After the interviews, I never heard back from anyone . 2 weeks later, I had to contact my former colleague. The next day a recruiter called me to say they wouldn't be moving on. My guess is that had I not reached out to the former colleague, they would have just ghosted me. I then reached out over LI to ask the Chief of Growth if there was any feedback. Presumably he would have been involved in a post-interview discussion. Rather than give me any feedback, he said he'd have to check with one of the Sr. Directors. He never got back to me. The entire process was a colossal waste of time.
