I interviewed late October of 2021. The initial call with the HR recruiter was good; she was pleasant to speak with and seemed very enthusiastic about moving forward. The next interview was...not promising. I had a video call with the head of one of the buying teams and she just seemed incredibly overwhelmed and unorganized. She didn't ask me too many questions and was taken aback by all the questions I had. I asked her several questions about how Blue Nile's buying team operated and what platforms they used and she seemed embarrassed to tell me that they weren't very technologically advanced. It's very telling that I was relieved not to get an offer from them.
