I applied online. I interviewed at Blue River Technology
Interview
First round was a quick 15 minute interview with one of their engineers. This problem statement was supposedly what the intern would eventually get to work on.
Second Round was a coding challenge. Not too hard.
I did well in both the rounds, after which they ghosted me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you detect human faces?
Find the square root of a number from scratch. I implemented the bisection method, but Newton Raphson would be more efficient.
Resume review, recruiter phone screen, phone interview with manager, followed by in person interviews with which I'm unfamiliar. Phone interview with recruiter was pleasant but the hiring manager was surprisingly unkind. The phone interview was a series of trivia questions about deep learning. Quickly decided I didn't want the job.
1st call with recruiter for basic introduction and 2nd call with manager go over my resume and ask basic Machine learning and Deep learning question. After that waited for 3 weeks and no response.
