The interview process was quite smooth and positive initially but overall interaction with the recruiter after the tech rounds could have been better.
After getting all green signals from the tech panelists, HR and I started having compensation discussions and after only 1 meeting, the HR started ghosting me. After follow ups they rejected the candidature citing my expectation was out of their budget range (which was weird since we discussed the expectations in the very first screening call).
I was super excited about the role since it involved working on deep learning problems but if after going through the glassdoor reviews and my first hand experience from the recruitment process had me double guessing.
I recommend the HR team tries to streamline the process for a better candidate experience and decide to conclude the process if the expectations are not aligned, no point in going through hours of interview rounds if the base requirements don't match.
Cheers!
