HR had "never received" my CV (I had applied through their application portal) and started with selling me the company and the campus. Having known people who worked there, I knew more about it that the HR person in front of me who had just joined. I pushed to go through the next level, and following discussions with actual managers who knew the department and the role were better but that first interview left a decidedly sour taste. I ended up not taking the role yet I still think they're a good company, the interview mayhem was a blip, and for the right people it's a great place to work. You need to be very process and compliance oriented, and bit try to make too many waves.
