A Recruiter from this company reached out to me directly on LinkedIn, about two roles. I am currently a Senior Manager in the exact role BI is hiring for, in the same industry, and the other role she sent is very similar to what I do as well. I take InMail from recruiters very seriously, especially when it's clear I am qualified for the job. So I crafted my resume to highlight my most relevant experience and projects, and wrote a cover letter. I applied for the role on the website, and messaged the recruiter back thanking her for reaching out to me, and attaching my CV and cover letter. This took me a whole evening.
She responds back the next day that they want someone with more experience. It is very clear that she didn't even read my profile before contacting me directly on LinkedIn, completely wasting my time in the most unprofessional way. Why reach out individually to candidates who don't meet your qualifications? This left a terrible impression on me as a potential job candidate. I had someone in mind for her second role and told them what happened to me. They won't even bother applying now.
