      Engineer Interview

      Mar 6, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Boeing

      Interview

Starts off with a screening phone call where you go over your resume with the screener and talk about yourself. I was put through to the next interview phase. This is where it got a bit frustrating. This was a virtual interview, however, I was the only one with my camera on. It felt a little unprofessional and added an additional layer of uneasiness (to an already uncomfortable situation) to be the only one with my camera on. The whole point of virtual interviews is to avoid in person contact while still being "face-to-face", but if webcams weren't necessary, then I don't see why this process couldn't have been done over the phone. I didn't necessarily get a chance to go over my resume. They instead asked generic questions for me to talk about relevant projects. Some of these questions, though, were similar to other questions where I could've used the same project to answer both. But instead, I tried to think up of different examples on the fly, since I wasn't sure if using the same example would've sufficed. From there, it was about a month until I heard back from them.

Behavioral based questions, usually five. One is always a "tell me about yourself" question. The panel is busy writing notes and there isn't much eye contact. Nothing off script either.
