I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bombardier (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2013
Interview
First interview or "info session", as they call it is a complete waste of time. It was about a 3 hour long conversation from the HR representatives explaining why you don't want the job. They also made us pick a partner, interview them and explain why they would be good for the job. Although I admire the idea of getting to know the group and seeing how well you act around others, I don't appreciate the persons running this "info session" staring at their phone or looking out into space whilst we were talking. Myself, I was incredibly energetic, happy, and proved how my experience would make me a perfect candidate for the position by the way I spoke about my partner, and yet they barely payed attention to me. They advised us we would be hearing from them the following Monday whether or not they would welcome us to a second interview. 4 weeks later I get a call saying they are not looking to hire me based on "my résumé and qualifications". Considering my résumé and the job qualifications would make me extremely over qualified, and even if my résumé was the issue, I should have never got called for this "info session" to begin with. Thanks Bombardier, it's very clear you are not interested in hiring extremely hard working, energetic, intelligent and professional individuals that would have loved to advance within the company.
