Interview
Recruiting at Booz Allen is inconsistent across the firm and depends largely on how you get your interview and what team you are interviewing with. In my interview, the recruiter told me a number of things about the benefits at the firm that turned out to be not-quite-right. I had two interviews following the initial overview from the recruiter which were thorough and professional, although not overly formal. One interviewer failed to show - the recruiters don't always fully coordinate. In the end I was impressed with the people who interviewed me, in their demeanor (professional but informal), their understanding of how I would fit into the business, and their expressed aptitude for the business.
There's frequently a disconnect between what the recruiters understand about the position and what the hiring manager understands about the position. That said, if you get an interview through a referral sent directly to a hiring manager, the recruiting process will be much smoother and quicker (as mine was).
