Applied online, had interview with recruiter. Recruiter was casual, too casual really. It was clear they did not have the background to evaluate technical candidates. The listing was pretty inaccurate regarding start date, salary, and contract length. The recruiter was positive about my application and said I would definitely have a follow up with the client facing recruiter later in the week. The next morning I received a rejection email.

It was a life sciences consulting role so the recruiter asked my background in X,Y, and Z but any answer would have sufficed given their lack of technical expertise as long as it included the "buzz words" they were looking for.
