I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Boston University in Apr 2016
Interview
I interviewed at the School of Public Health and the process was very thorough. In this particular department there was an interview with the manager, the manager's manager, other RAs working on the project, and the PI. Each one was a separate interview so there were 4 in total across 2 visits. It was a long process to say the least!

Question 1
Basic interview questions, definitely as they relate to research and the positions.
Initial round with research staff breaking down technical skills and case study questions regarding research methodology and domain-specific knowledge, then another round with the lead researcher more on values and fit and understanding of commitment.
The interview process was very positive and well-structured. It began with an initial greeting, followed by several one-on-one conversations. I found that the PIs were all very friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in my research background. They focused on both technical skills and cultural fit, making the entire experience feel more like a professional dialogue than a high-pressure interrogation.
The interview process is relatively straightforward. Just typical calls with behavioral questions, coding tasks as well as explaining your resume and methodology through some problems. Overall a great experience, if you are a student it should be very easy!
