I interviewed for a role over the course of two months. I first interviewed with HR, C-suite and the direct team in the first two weeks, so I assumed that meant the process was fast-moving. After the last of those interviews, I was asked to interview with the C-suite a second time, but was told that they were busy that week then we're going on PTO for several weeks so the interview couldn't happen until they returned. I should have realized that was likely not the case and they were interviewing other candidates, which is fine, but I would have appreciated transparency. Four weeks later, in my second interview with C-suite. At the end of the interview, the C-sutie twice insisted I would hear back "very soon." I followed up after one week with no response. I finally heard back the following week and was told the job was offered to someone else. When I asked for feedback, they said there was none to give. The lack of transparency throughout the process and the time put into interviewing with not even any feedback is highly disappointing.
Update: After expressing my disappoint about not receiving feedback HR did get my some feedback, which I appreciate.
