First interview was with a recruiter that involved generals questions regarding the role. Second interview was with the hiring manager. He asked more detailed technical questions regarding application support and project management. I was invited onsite for a third interview. The schedule kept changing 3 days before the interview. Several people could not be onsite so I spoke with one of the senior business analyst over the phone then went onsite to meet with 3 more business analysts and he hiring manager. The business analyst asked standard questions regarding my background, specifically what ERP systems I’ve supported. They stated they were all extremely impressed with my past work and “I had their vote”. The following week I was contacted to speak with the CIO in another office for a phone interview that lasted about an hour. We spoke about ERP systems and how I supported them in the past and my future goals. He stated he was also extremely impressed with my skill set and that HR would be in contact regarding next steps. 2 weeks go by and there is radio silence, I finally reach out to the recruiter and she responds the following day stating she would have feedback shortly. Another week goes by and I reach out to the hiring manager regarding an update. He responds by stating he would like to have a quick call regarding a new system they were implementing. On the call I once again exceed expectations of the bus. Analyst who’s implementing the system and that I once again “had her vote”. The hiring manager goes on to ask the same questions we discussed 1 month prior in our initial phone interview as if he had never spoken to me before or forgot all my answers. I answered the questions the EXACT same as I had done before and he insistently rebutted stating I was not answering his question correctly. The questions were extremely easy and elementary, it seemed as if he was not satisfied with ANY of my CORRECT answers but they were previously accepted and praised in high regard. The following week I receive a vague email from the recruiter thanking me for my time(which they wasted) and stating they’re continuing their search?! I politely asked her for more detailed feedback being that I exceeded the expectation of everyone in he process. I was then sent another vague email stating my skill set somehow is not good enough for the direction they are going. My overall opinion is that I didn’t fit the culture(white or Spanish) of this company. I wouldn’t recommend anyone(POC) interviewing here it’s a complete waste of time and energy, they judge you based off physical appearance and not skills. My advice to Brightview is to not waste a candidates time, provide feedback quickly in the process and be more responsive and broaden your cultural perspective.
