The interview process was very immature. I was contacted via email and asked to provide availability to interview. When I didn’t respond immediately I was sent a second email about an hour later asking, essentially, the same thing. This rang some alarms and even made me wonder if it was a scam but I decided to respond and see what happened. Instead of a typical recruiting screen I was told I’d be interviewing with the hiring manager directly. The interview itself was pretty standard. The hiring manager said there would only be the single interview and that I should hear in a week or so. A few days later I got a standard automated rejection email. Bummer, but ok. But now, here’s where it starts to get weird. A couple hours later I get an email asking me to provide availability for an interview. This email does not appear to be a follow up but instead appears to be the same email I was sent the first time, as if I was a fresh applicant. I responded that I had already interviewed and been rejected. I was told that the rejection was a mistake and I am still being considered. A few days later I am sent ANOTHER intro email asking for my availability to interview. I responded again saying I’d already interviewed and asked if this was a follow up. They respond saying it’s been a mistake and a second interview isn’t necessary. I responded asking for the status of the opening and my candidacy and was ghosted.
While I know they are in their infancy and likely have a bright future ahead, it may be difficult to get talent in the door based on their current recruiting and hiring process.
