I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brilliant Earth (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
Applied online, had a phone screen with HR followed by an in-person interview.
Was asked questions about the company's ethos, source of materials, etc. - nothing a little research ahead of time can't uncover.
Interviews were thorough and challenging, but I think that it reflects the requirements of the position.

Question 1
How would you figure out a certain percentage in your head, without calculator or paper?
What steps would you take in ordering materials from the source for store inventory?
Overall quick and painless. Staff were kind and respectful! There was a screening, small assessment, and then interview with department management. The assessment was not too difficult and I felt the whole process was straightforward.

Interview
They were late to the interview, then they asked if I needed to reschedule after them being late. The chat was brief and dull, did not ask much - seemed like they already knew they didn't want to hire me. Upon rejection, I replied to see if I could get feedback on why I was rejected; they never responded. Overall, the experience wasn't too pleasant. I guess I'm glad I didn't join them.
