Let me tell you a true story of my interview experience: The initial interview with HR(Melissa) was very professional and positive.We hit it off well, and she put me on the schedule to phone interview with the hiring manager. The secondary phone interview with the hiring manager left a lot to be desired. The manager literally mumbled throughout the interview and I can tell he had no interest in really talking to me. He asked me really awesome questions like "uhhhh, what can you tell me about Macs?" and "So, um, tell me a little more about networking". The confusing, barely intelligible manager then ended the call after about 10 minutes. After that stinknugget of a phone interview, Melissa called me back and asked me how it went. I told her that he didn't seem to want to even talk to me. Melissa then told me that despite getting the phone interview, "The manager is a stickler for college degrees". When i asked her why one is really needed, she was honest with me and told me she didn't know. So, the HR person thought i was a good fit, but since i don't have a degree, the manager couldn't even be bothered to actually do real interview with me. He just kinda jumbled it on the phone making it look like he's doing me a favor, when he actually just wasted my time. Bronto Software seems like a nice place to work and has good reviews, but if managers like that are running the place, this position turns into a revolving door. I've noticed since i was interviewed, It was posted at least twice more in the past year. As for me trying for the job again - I have absolutely no interest, and they couldn't afford me anyway. Not bad for someone without a degree, huh?
