I applied online, and within a week had a call with an internal recruitment guy, who was incredibly nice, and after a 5 minute chat he invited me in to meet with the MD, which was a nice conversation, and he seems like a great leader with a good vision, he pulled one of the sales guys into the office to talk with me for a few minutes, he seemed more concerned with making himself look like a big success rather than actually talking to me, which was a bit of a turn off. Following these conversations, they wanted me to come in and meet the lady who would be my line manager. She basically went through my CV asking historical questions about what I did at school 15 years ago, and other questions completely irrelevant to the position, when I challenged this, she was incredibly defensive. I declined the offer.
