I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Brookfield Renewable (Ottawa, ON) in Oct 2015
Interview
I was called in for an interview with representation from HR and the VP of the FP&A group. I was asked questions by both interviewers with questions relating to the role specifically as well as questions geared towards me as an individual. I was given a chance to talk about myself to let the know a little bit about my background and they talked about Brookfield as a company and what it would be like to work there. After the first interview I received notice that I would have a second interview with my manager and another representative from HR. The second interview was structured similar to the first interview. I felt that I was well prepared for the interview but at the same time I was asked questions that forced me to think on my feet (which I think is a good thing for an interview). I was presented an offer the following day (or the day after).
2 rounds, hr and then hiring manager. technical like explain dcf, if you were to invest in solar what would you do. whats npv irr. general finance terms is needed but a strong understanding of why renewable energy and how you fit it
Interview process was broken into three stages: phone screen, behavioral interviews, and weekend case study. Process was generally engaging. Case study was interesting but time consuming and difficult. Presented the case study in-person to the team
