Applied for this position on the Brooks Careers page and the next day, received an email from the recruiting team to set up a time to chat more about the role. When I didn't hear back after sending my availability, I began to follow up via email and eventually was able to speak to the recruiter regarding the role. The call was pushed to later in the day, no problem...however, after the call ended and I was told to send my availability to speak to the hiring manager.
It took 3 follow up emails and over a week before I heard back from the recruiter, once we finally had a meeting set for me to speak with the hiring manager, it was promptly canceled because the recruiter didn't know the hiring manager was on "PTO till the 4th of Jan." I was already concerned with the lack of communication but I was reassured that I would be scheduled to move on after the holidays.
3 more emails and over A MONTH later, I finally got scheduled to speak with the hiring manager. I hop on the video call during the scheduled time and...was ghosted. The hiring manager never logged into the call and I was NEVER given an explanation as to why. I eventually spoke with him then moved onto the 3 hour team panel interview.
All in all the interviews and the people within the company are all very pleasant, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do.
However, after spending weeks...MONTHS interviewing, creating a lengthy product brief presentation, and basically chasing down the recruiting team to schedule each of these interviews, I was not offered the position nor given any feedback as to why I wasn't a good fit or if my skillset wasn't compatible. To give a clear timeline: Brooks reached out to me 12/2/2020, I was declined the position 2/25/2021 -- 84 days is unacceptable to determine a candidate for a mid-level position. The lack of communication, transparency, and disregard for my time as an applicant speaks volumes about this company, I wish the candidate chosen the best of luck.
