This was a long one.. One meeting with an external recruiter, then an internal HR recruiter, followed by a solo interview with the hiring manager. The final step was meant to just be a panel interview with different potential team members, but then an additional round with an assignment was added. The process was incredibly lengthy, taking place over almost 3 months.
In addition to that, there were wait periods of about 2 weeks just to schedule the next round. Despite their lackadaisical approach to scheduling candidates, they still expected me to accept another call with a senior member who couldn’t make the original panel interview while I was on an international vacation. I also found a lot of the questions were repeated from past rounds as if the interviewers didn’t have notes or know anything despite the lengthy duration of the process. Seems odd to have candidates complete so many rounds and not have questions elevate as the process progresses.
For what the pay would have been, which was projected to be UNDER 70K, the process was complete overkill
