A private-sector firm operating with all the opacity and inertia of a calcified bureaucracy. Over the course of interviews with ten team members, candidates encountered repetitive questioning and contradictory descriptions of the role suggestive of internal misalignment. HR appeared either unaware or indifferent to the significant time, effort, and opportunity cost borne by candidates, many of whom rearranged professional obligations to engage with the process. In keeping with this disregard, a courteous follow-up email sent weeks after the final round of interviews went unanswered, underscoring the lack of professionalism and basic respect with which Brown Advisory engages prospective hires.
