I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Trafford Park, England) in Feb 2018
Interview
I couldn’t make the group interview date so they kindly offered me to come in for 1-1 interview instead.
For the 1st part of the interview was done on the shop floor . She gave me a basket and 3 scenarios, I had to pick a bear and/or outfits depending on what questions I was asked. I thought this was a great part of the interview as you was left alone to do it so it gave you time to calm down and prepare/relax yourself for the rest of the interview, was also fun!
2nd part of the interview I was told about the role (busy at xmas time - can I handle the pressure?, awkward customers, child friendly) and asked general questions such as what experience do I think I have that would contribute to the role, etc.
3rd part of interview was an integrity test on the computer with some pretty basic answers such as ‘do you think it is right to steal from your employer’. They’re we’re some more complicated ones towards the end though to try and throw you off I imagine, however, nothing that was mind boggling.
I only went for the interview today so I’ve had no feedback yet but I thought I did quite well. Overall, I had a great interview experience and felt relaxed at all times considering I was really nervous beforehand.
I applied online. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Liverpool, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Really positive process. Once I’d applied, I’d had an interview and been offered the position within a week. Was a group interview. No formal interview questions more fun/group activities as this fits the role.
When I arrived we completed an assessment which took around 15mins. Then we got paired up and had to do a “heart ceremony”. Then we had to pick 3 items and sell it to the group/describe why we picked it.
It was good, went in and did my interview, was a good job at the time. Made kids and adults happy. Had a lot of stock, mostly older bears, had a lot of negative feedback about alot of product being online only
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Anaheim, CA)
Interview
One of the best interviews I have had. It was a group interview, and we all answered fun questions. Because this was in downtown Disney, they really wanted to see how fun and outgoing you can be.
