I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Build-A-Bear (Peabody, MA) in Jul 2010
Interview
I went in and asked for an application, for some reason they were out of paper ones so they gave me the website where I could apply. A few months later I got a call asking me to come in for a group interview. there were four of us, we went around the circle answering the same questions one at a time. They were the typical interview questions about former jobs, what we liked and disliked about them and our strengths and weaknesses, but the last question was interesting. We were asked if we were any animal what animal would we be and why. I got a call a few weeks after the interview to come in and take the Reid Survey, and a few weeks after that I got a call saying I was hired and asking if I could come in the following week and fill out the paperwork, and then the next week I was on the schedule and started training.

The interview takes 3 rounds: a phone interview, an in person interview where you fill out a survey then complete an interview, and a follow through interview. I was hired on the spot at my follow through, but process could be different.
