My first proper part of the interview was a call over the phone, almost like a pre-interview interview where I answered fairly forward and typical questions, why choose Build-a-Bear to apply for, what my availability would be like, other general reasonable questions ect. I heard back the next day by phone call that I'd been accepted for the actual in-person interview, which I went to the day after.
This was largely similar, conventional questions but also general talk, I imagine getting a feel for personality and presentation, we talked about relevant important concepts such as a happy state of mind when interacting with children . I filled out a personality quiz, 'Strongly agree' to 'Strongly disagree' questions, and the interviewer/manager did pop off but returned frequently to check in and we'd chatter. (Usually there would be a group interview with more practical processes, but unfortunately COVID19 restrictions means that currently it has only been 1-on-1's).
That was a Friday, I was told I'd hear back whether successful or not over the next few days, and I got the call on Monday!
