Screening call with HR - one of the nicest people I’ve spoken to. Incredibly helpful, great ambassador for the company. Then an interview with two analysts. Live coding in SQL was part of it. Interviewers were great, put me at ease, and made it a really good experience.

Question 1
How would you describe a p-value to a non-technical stakeholder?
I applied online, and was asked to complete a technical test without even as much as a hello. The recruiter of course didn't attach this test to their email, so I had to chase them to send it to me.
Some time later I was told the next stage would involve making a presentation, however the recruiter did not send me the brief or schedule the interview before going on holiday, and their assistant also failed at this task. I figured they weren't actually hiring after all, and weren't going to tell me.
After some chasing the recruiter finally did send me the exercise, I must say I was disappointed; it felt like they couldn't be bothered to prep a suitable task, what they gave me really was a joke: 10 lines of data for a 20 min presentation! I did my best to present to two very uninterested and bored looking individuals who I felt were just going through the motions.
I never heard from the company again, but from other reviews it seems ghosting applicants is the norm for this company.
